Quality Inspector

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team.

As a Quality Inspector at QMS, you’ll be responsible for inspecting precision-machined components using advanced Faro technology, producing inspection reports, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the production process. You’ll carry out goods-in, first-off, and in-process inspections, calibrate equipment to ISO 9001:2015 standards, and work closely with the Design team to support manufacturability and traceability.

CNC Setter Operator, Machine Shop

Are you a skilled CNC Setter Operator looking to join a dynamic and forward-thinking manufacturing team? We’re seeking a motivated individual to set up and operate CNC machinery, to produce high-quality metallic and non-metallic components.

Alternating shift pattern of 38.75h/w (Shift 1: 6:00am to 2:15pm M-F. Shift 2: 2.00pm to 11:15pm M-T, 2.00pm to 5.45pm F).

Salary range: £12.21/h to £17.50/h, depending on experience.

Yard Operative

You must at all times and in all activities work in a safe manner in line with QMS Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

You may also be required to carry out various other tasks at your supervisor’s discretion.

Main duties:

Loading/unloading deliveries for Fabrication (forklift/manual)
Stock maintenance
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment / housekeeping
Operation of shot blasting equipment
Prepare and clean work areas, tools and equipment
All aspects of preparing units for painting
Assist with the assembly and disassembly of products.
Assist all team members with daily tasks, as specified by the Fabrication Manager.

Skills and Experience:

Competent/certified Forklift truck user, essential criteria
Previous Shot Blasting experience would be desirable
Experience of using an overhead Gantry Crane is desirable.
Highly motivated with good communication skills
High levels of concentration and attention to detail
Working well within a team
Ability to maintain high housekeeping levels

Service Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our thriving team based in Coalville. The successful candidate will provide assistance in keeping our machinery in full operating order.

Relevant experience and a proven track record are important, along with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, achieve and excel within the company.

Working alongside our expert engineers, you will be involved in supporting the installation, inspection, repair, maintenance and commissioning of aggregate processing plant (crushers, screens, conveyors, full plant installation). You will also be required to work at our head office where you will support the repair and maintenance of crushers and crusher components.

QMS have a record order book and a considerable increase in workload. To support this growth, we are looking for TWO highly skilled Welder Fabricators to join our Fabrication team (afternoon shift) in Coalville. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Welders who are looking to take the next steps in their career to join our expanding team.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced & proficient welder/fabricator, previous experience of MIG welding and Fabrication is essential.

Applicants must be able to read & interpret engineering drawings

Applicants with experience operating a press brake machine and/or plasma cutting machine are desirable, although this is not essential.
